Port Richmond CERT and 2008
Greetings Everyone,
The Port Richmond CERT team is gearing up for our spring activities. The team continues to meet every week, gaining awareness on CERT topics, and how we can continue as a resource to our community.
I would like to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of our volunteer members who give their time selflessly. Since our beginning in October of 2005, we have logged almost 10,000 community service hours. Our website, packed with valuable information, has had as many hits since it's been up (4 monthes ago). This is an impressive collection of concerned Staten Islanders. All bring a special gift and talent to form our team.
Sometimes, we cannot do it alone. We ask for your support, whether it's sending us a letter of appreciation or making a small contribution. We are an established 501 (c)3 and the donations are tax deductible.
We've got a good schedule ahead of us, so you may see one of our team members out on Staten Island. Please stop and say hello. And tell them how much you appreciate their volunteer service.
Stay Well,
John Tidona, Team Chief
