		<content type="html"><![CDATA[Greetings Everyone,<BR><BR>The Port Richmond CERT team is gearing up for our spring activities.&nbsp; The team continues to meet every week, gaining awareness on CERT topics, and how we can continue as a resource to our community.<BR><BR>I would like to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of our volunteer members who give their time selflessly.&nbsp; Since our beginning in October of 2005, we have logged almost 10,000 community service hours.&nbsp; Our website, packed with valuable information, has had as many hits since it's been up (4 monthes ago).&nbsp; This is an impressive collection of concerned Staten Islanders.&nbsp; All bring a special gift and talent to form our team.<BR><BR>Sometimes, we cannot do it alone.&nbsp; We ask for your support, whether it's sending us a letter of appreciation or making a small contribution.&nbsp; We are an established 501 (c)3 and the donations are tax deductible.<BR><BR>We've got a good schedule ahead of us, so you may see one of our team members out on Staten Island.&nbsp; Please stop and say hello.&nbsp; And tell them how much you appreciate their volunteer service.<BR><BR>Stay Well,<BR>John Tidona, Team Chief<BR>Port Richmond CERT]]></content>

		<title>Port Richmond CERT:  A Resource to the Community</title>

		<content type="html"><![CDATA[The Port Richmond CERT team is made up of volunteers from all over Staten Island.&nbsp; Our members are dedicated, motivated, and willing to respond to emergencies.&nbsp; Our mission includes:&nbsp; helping our first responders, providing awareness and preparedness information, and continual training.<br><br>The team meets weekly and is liaisoning with other volunteer groups to share training and knowledge.&nbsp; <br><br>Staten Island is a great place to live, it has been for some time.&nbsp; But it's getting crowded and getting off of it during an emergency may not be feasible.&nbsp; Your options are to shelter-in-place or help your community.&nbsp; Join the Port Richmond CERT team and help your community.<br><br>We are not a political organization.&nbsp; We are not a religious organization.&nbsp; We are diversified...that is our strength.&nbsp; It is never about us, it's about who we can help.<br><br>]]></content>
